The Forth Bridge has been voted Scotland’s greatest man-made wonder in new research by VisitScotland as part of the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design 2016.
Tornado steams in to celebrate Forth Bridge World Heritage inscription

Coinciding with the announcement of becoming Scotland’s sixth UNESCO World Heritage site, the Forth Bridge received a welcome visit from the Tornado steam locomotive on Sunday 5 July.
The steam loco, and its 12 carriages, provided a great deal of excitement for well-wishers in the area, as well as those on social media from across the world.

On Sunday July 5 2015, the Forth Bridge was successfully inscribed as Scotland’s sixth World Heritage site.
The UK delegation were in attendance at the UNESCO Committee meeting in Bonn, Germany to witness this historical event.
